When you create a SnapBrief account, we store your name, email address, and organisation details. When you create a meeting or podcast episode, we store the title, participants, tags, any transcript you paste or upload, and the audio/video file itself if you upload one.
To generate summaries, action items, show notes, and other content, your transcripts and audio are sent to third-party AI providers — currently Anthropic (for summaries, follow-ups, and content generation) and OpenAI (for audio transcription via Whisper). These providers process the content to return results to SnapBrief and do not use it to train their models under our agreements with them.
Uploaded audio and video files are stored on Cloudflare R2 (or, in local development, on disk). Transcripts, summaries, and other generated content are stored in our database. Files and records are retained until you delete the meeting or episode, or close your account.
SnapBrief uses two essential cookies — sb_access and sb_refresh — to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
You can generate a public share link for a meeting or episode. Anyone with the link can view a read-only version of its content. Share links can expire automatically, and you can revoke access at any time by marking the meeting private — this immediately invalidates any existing links.
